The North Carolina Institute Child Development Professionals is an organization promoting just compensation for early childhood educators. There are tons of useful tools, resources, and opportunities available here. This organization houses the Early Educator Credentials and Endorsements in North Carolina.

The North Carolina Star Rated License Assessment Project was established in 1999 to better define the quality of child care in the state and to assist parents in choosing child care. The North Carolina Division of Child Development awards the Star Rated License to child care centers, family child care homes, and school-age programs. The NCRLAP website is filled with valuable videos and explanations regarding questions around the rating scales.
